Understanding the Requirements of Structuring Research Papers
In the previous course, we focused on the important aspects that need to be examined when a researcher intends to begin writing his/her research paper. However, for writing research papers, an important aspect that has to be understood is the overall structure of a research paper. The requirements of each journal are stated in the journal guidelines, and most international peer-reviewed journals adhere to the usage of the IMRAD format.
By attempting this course, researchers will get to understand why the IMRAD format is important for publication in international journals and what details should be provided in each section. Within this course, we will be covering the following details:
At the end of the course, researchers and students will have better awareness of the details that need to be included in each section of a research paper. Also, they will be able to improve the chances of citations because of better indexing and searchability within databases. Furthermore, they will be able to format papers better and avoid rejection because of non-adherence to structural requirements of each journal.
